Encouraged by the popularity of the Iria Foundation's Septuagesima70 and Adventus30 initiatives, the summer of 2025 sees the introduction of the Saint Michael's Lent program. Practiced by Saint Francis of Assisi and his fellow friars in the 13th century, it has seen renewed interest amongst the Catholic faithful in recent years. A number of participants who had found the Septuagesima and Adventus programs spiritually enriching and beneficial had been requesting the addition of Saint Michael's Lent, which becomes another excellent opportunity for all to grow in holiness.
Saint Michael's Lent provides an ideal opportunity for spiritual reorientation between the two great penitential seasons in the liturgical calendar and allows the Iria Foundation to continue to make Fr Hamon's profound meditations available to a wide digital audience. Practicing Saint Michael's Lent is an excellent way to increase devotion to Saint Michael, pray his novena with great fervour, and celebrate Michaelmas with gratitude. It is a great joy to offer this program to those hungering and thirsting for righteousness.
