Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
As we come to the end of St. Michael’s Lent, our hearts are lifted in thanksgiving. These weeks of prayer, fasting, and preparation have been a sacred journey, drawing us nearer to the Captain of the Heavenly Hosts, the great Archangel Michael. With the feast now upon us, Holy Church invites us not only to honor him in solemn liturgy but also to rejoice in the radiant assurance of his protection.
St. Michael is not far from us. Each day, when temptations arise, when shadows threaten, when discouragement presses upon our hearts, he is present—shield in hand, sword raised, ready to defend the children of God. His cry still echoes across the ages: “Who is like unto God?”—a summons to humility, courage, and fidelity.
Therefore, let us welcome his protection into the very fabric of our daily lives. Call upon him when you pray, when you kneel before the altar, when you feel weak before the assaults of the enemy. Let his name be often on your lips, and let his intercession strengthen your spirit.
The victory belongs to Christ, but He has willed that His angels, and above all St. Michael, should be companions in our struggle. As this season closes, let us not allow our devotion to fade. Rather, let us make of it a new beginning—an enduring habit of trust in St. Michael’s care, until at last we too are gathered with him in the glory of Heaven.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!
And we’ll see you all again for Adventus30!
With gratitude to our wonderful team behind the scenes, Marisa, Phoebe, and particularly Adam who drives it all, please keep us all in your prayers.
God bless,
Fr. Withoos
Chaplain.
